Description
This Frog Site demonstrates a knowledge-based lesson plan using “The Chemical Spheres” as an example, structured into four phases: Knowledge, Questions, Create, and Practice.
The lesson begins with an engaging introductory video, followed by learners copying a knowledge organiser into their workbooks - “the stuff they will be tested on.” Teachers then ask higher-order questions to deepen understanding and encourage connections.
In the “Create” phase, students use their own words to demonstrate understanding, fostering active engagement. Finally, the “Practice” phase employs interactive tools like quizzes and polls to embed knowledge and assess progress.
This adaptable framework helps teachers deliver engaging, customisable lessons that promote both subject mastery and essential skills.
